Nikon is working on a 20mm f/1.8, 50mm f/1.2 and a 105mm macro lens with no aperture mentioned. These fixed focal length lenses come out in the high-end S-series. A new Compact Prime series is also on the roadmap, in which a 28mm, 40mm and 60mm Micro should appear.
Nikon is also working on new zoom lenses in the S series. It concerns a 14-24 mm f/2.8 and a 70-200 mm f/2.8 and a 24-105 mm and 100-400 mm with unknown aperture. Nikon also makes two zooms that don’t come in the S-series, with a range of 24-200mm and 200-600mm.
Twelve of the 13 Z lenses planned are suitable for full-frame cameras. There is one DX variant on the roadmap, an 18-140 mm, which is intended for the Nikon Z50 camera with aps-c sensor announced on Thursday.
It is not yet clear when the new lenses will be released on the market, although the roadmap does state that it concerns planning until 2021. It is also not yet about official product announcements, the plans can still change. Developing lenses can take several years.
Nikon is also announcing the price and availability of its Nikkor Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct lens. That very bright lens for portrait and astrophotography will be on sale at the end of October for 8999 euros. Nikon already announced the two-kilogram lens with the introduction of the Z cameras last year.
