Nikon has released a new system camera. The Nikon 1 V3 enables, among other things, continuous shooting at 20 frames per second with autofocus or continuous shooting at 60fps without autofocus. The camera will be available for purchase from April 17.

The Nikon 1 V3 is an 18.4-megapixel camera with automatic ISO range of 160-6400 with maximum sensitivity of ISO 12,800. There is a 3″ touchscreen that shows 1,037,000 pixels and an optional detachable Nikon 1 DF-N1000 electronic viewfinder with 2,359,000 pixels. The AF system contains 171 points and there are 105 phase detection points.

The Nikon 1 V3 offers the new ‘automatic image recording’ function, in which the device itself analyzes images during filming and can extract high-resolution photos from it. The user can also do this themselves by pressing the shutter button. Furthermore, Slow Motion is present, which displays a three-second video clip at 120 frames per second in 12 seconds.

Nikon will supply the Nikon 1 V3 body from April 17 for 869 euros, but the manufacturer will also release the camera bundled with the 1 Nikkor VR 10-30 mm f/3.5-5.6 pd zoom lens for 969 euros.
