New version of fighting game Guilty Gear will be released next year

Developer Arc System Works has released the first trailer for a new game in the Guilty Gear series. That game should be released next year. It is not yet known when the fighting game will be released and for which platforms.

The makers describe the game as a 2.5d fighting game. Daisuke Ishiwatari, the developer behind the first game in the Guilty Gear series, is in charge of creating the new game. The fighting game that will be released next year is tentatively titled New Guilty Gear.

The first installment of Guilty Gear was released in Japan in 1998 for the PlayStation. Two years later, the game known for its graphic style was also released in Europe. In the years that followed, a number of new parts followed, including Guilty Gear 2: Overture, which appeared for the Xbox 360. The most recent game in the series is Guilty Gear Xrd. That game came out in arcades in 2015 and came to the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and Windows a year later.
