New Oddworld: Soulstorm Trailer Shows Building and Exploration Possibilities
A new trailer for Oddworld: Soulstorm shows the first gameplay footage. The video shows, among other things, how the main character Abe works his way through an industrial ‘hell’. Soulstorm is expected to be released in early 2020.
In the trailer, the development studio shows the first gameplay footage of the sequel to Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty. Abe, along with his liberated ilk, must find his way home in the side-scrolling action game. The trailer also shows images of collecting items, crafting and exploring the different levels to find more valuable items.
The game uses elements from Abe’s Exodus and the story takes place right after the events of the previous installment in the series. After rescuing three hundred Mudokons and defeating his former boss, Abe is at the forefront of a revolution against his old employers.
Oddworld: Soulstorm was announced earlier in 2016 and was scheduled for release in 2017. The game has been delayed several times for unknown reasons. There is no official release date yet, but the game is slated for release sometime in early 2020.
