New Nintendo Wireless Controller Appears in FCC Approval
Nintendo has filed documents with the US FCC for a new wireless bluetooth controller. The controller is said to require more power than the Joy-Cons and includes a model number that is in line with the SNES controller for the Switch.
The documents show that the controller has been given the model number HAC-043 by Nintendo. This designation follows the model number of the wireless SNES controller that Nintendo introduced in 2019. It was internally designated HAC-042.
Many details are not known, apart from the fact that the controller requires more power than the Joy-Cons: 3.5mW compared to 2.7mW. Nintendo has also requested that the technical and external details of the controller not be made public for at least 180 days.
