Ninja Theory’s latest game, Bleeding Edge, has been leaked ahead of its reveal at its E3 Xbox press conference on Sunday. The game will be a 4-versus-4 multiplayer game with an emphasis on melee weapon combat.

The leaked images show that the visual style of the game is very exuberant and imaginative. Mainly all kinds of strange melee weapons are on display, but firearms are also discussed. Furthermore, the characters seem to have special powers; one can breathe fire and another places an energy shield in front of his team. There are also dangers in the environments, such as a train that can run over players.

The game’s perspective is not yet clear. All visuals are in third person, but since it doesn’t seem to be about actual gameplay, the game itself may still be in first person. Undoubtedly, things like this will be filled in on Sunday evening. What is clear is that a technical alpha will take place on June 27, in which players can participate. The website mentioned in the video is not yet live.

Ninja Theory is a British game developer who in the past made games like Heavenly Sword, Devil May Cry and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. The studio was acquired by Microsoft a year ago and is now a first-party studio.
