An unboxed video has surfaced on Facebook showing a working Google Pixel 7 Pro smartphone. At startup, a Google logo is shown, after which a start screen appears. The video does not contain any details about the specifications of the device.

Facebook user Gadgetfull BD shows a product box containing a black Google Pixel 7 Pro phone that also appears to be in its original protective film. After removing that foil, the user turns on the phone and the Google logo appears, followed by a home screen. That may indicate that it is an official copy of the Pixel 7 Pro. The Facebook user does not provide any further details.

It’s not the first time images and rumors about the Pixel 7 have surfaced on the internet. Shortly after the announcement of the Pixel 7 by Google, 9to5Google stated that the 7 and 7 Pro will receive the same OLED displays as the Pixel 6 series. The Pixel 6 has a 1080p display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The Pixel 6 Pro has a 1440p display with a 120Hz refresh rate. At the end of August, YouTube channel Unbox Therapy already showed some pre-production samples of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. That video showed that the Pixel 7 is slightly smaller than the Pixel 6. The Pixel 7 Pro is said to be almost the same size as the 6 Pro.

Google announced the Pixel 7 smartphones at its I/O developer conference in May this year. The Pixel 7 is similar in design to the Pixel 6 smartphones and, like those devices, also has a glass back and a ‘camera strip’. The Pixel 7 gets two cameras on the back, while the 7 Pro gets three cameras on the back. According to Google, both the 7 and 7 Pro will receive a second-generation Tensor soc. It is not yet known when the Pixel 7 smartphones will be in stores.
