New Gundam Breaker mecha game coming to PC on September 25
New Gundam Breaker is coming to Steam on September 25. It is the first game from the Japanese Gundam franchise to be released for both PC since 2012’s Mobile Suit Gundam Online. The PlayStation 4 version was released earlier this year on June 22, 2018.
Bandai Namco reports via its European website that the PC version will include all PlayStation 4 updates released to date. It was originally planned that both versions would be released on the same date, which is June 22. However, because Bandai Namco was not yet satisfied with the state of the PC version, it had decided to postpone the release until the summer, according to PC Gamer.
New Gundam Breaker is an action game where players can build a Gunpla, a model of the iconic Gundam, of their own design. The player has to fight with his Gunpla against those of others. The loose parts of his opponents can again be used by the player for his own adjustments. The game has a single player story mode and a three-on-three co-op mode.
The Gundam franchise has been around since 1979. It started as an animated series called Mobile Suit Gundam, in which a large-scale war between the Earth and space colonies is fought in large, advanced robotic suits. Since then, numerous comic books, video games, and toy lines based on the series and its spin-offs have come out.
