Turtle Rock Studios, the game maker who is responsible for Left 4 Dead, will release its new game on June 22. Called Back 4 Blood, the game will be another four-player co-op zombie game.

Turtle Rock also showed a trailer for the game during The Game Awards on the night from Thursday to Friday, which is very reminiscent of Left 4 Dead. There are four survivors, with firearms and percussion weapons, who must fight their way through environments full of zombies. They also have to deal with specials, special zombies with special skills. The survivors have distinct personalities and there is a lot of emphasis on teamwork. According to the site, there will also be a player versus player mode.

In addition to the release on June 22, Turtle Rock states that more gameplay will be shown in a livestream on December 17 and that a closed alpha test will start. For this, interested parties can register on the site of the game. The game will be released for the new and previous generation Xbox One and PlayStation, as well as Windows.

Turtle Rock also released Evolve after Left 4 Dead. That was also a co-op game, but with a heavier emphasis on player versus player. Despite long-term commitment from the developer and a switch to free-to-play, Evolve was not a success.
