New Borderlands 2 DLC Lilith & The Fight for Sanctuary is free until July 8
Gearbox and 2K Games have unveiled new campaign DLC for Borderlands 2. The expansion Lilith & The Fight for Sanctuary is free to download until July 8 and is a preview of Borderlands 3. A new trailer of that game was shown at the E3 fair.
Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary includes new bosses, new areas to explore and new loot that is described as going beyond the Legendary level. For advanced players there is a higher level cap up to level 80 and newcomers can start their character right from level 30.
The new campaign DLC takes place shortly after the Borderlands 2 main story. Sanctuary is under attack, the Vault map is stolen, and a poisonous gas threatens Pandora. Players must team up with Commander Lillith and the Crimson Raiders to defeat the culprit.
For owners of Borderlands 2 or Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, the DLC will be available for free until July 8. As of July 9, Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary will cost $15. Microsoft announced on Sunday that Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is now also available for Xbox Game Pass.
At the E3 trade show in Los Angeles, Gearbox and 2K Games also showed a new trailer for Borderlands 3. This game will be released on September 13.
