New AirPods Pro available in two sizes
The AirPods Max headphones appeared at the beginning of this month, but Apple is certainly not sitting still. A new version of the AirPods Pro should be released next year, and it just might come in two sizes.
AirPods Pro: Two sizes to choose from
The AirPods Pro are the somewhat more advanced earbuds from Apple, including active noise cancellation and a Transparency mode. They appeared at the end of 2019 and it is now time for a second generation. The Twitter account Mr white has now published photos of components of those new AirPods Pro.
The photos show cables of different lengths, which leads to speculation about the size of the AirPods Pro. It could mean that the AirPods Pro 2 will soon be offered in two sizes. Furthermore, a document can be seen in the tweet stating that the AirPods Pro are equipped with a W2 chip. By the way, White talks about ‘still a W2 chip’, while the current AirPods have an H1 chip. Bit sloppy.
Different design for the AirPods Pro 2
It’s the first time we’ve heard this rumor, take it with a good grain of salt. Moreover, we do not see the added value of two different sizes at the moment, because you can already make the AirPods Pro fit properly with interchangeable ear tips.
Incidentally, there are other and more credible rumors about a new design for the AirPods Pro 2. The first generation has sticks that are a lot shorter than those of the regular AirPods, with the next generation the sticks would be completely omitted. Only the caps remain. The new version of the regular AirPods would then get the looks of the current AirPods Pro. We also expect the regular AirPods to appear in 2021.
