Netgear has announced the Euro prices and availability of its Orbi AX4200 mesh router. The RBK753 version, which consists of a router and two satellites, costs 700 euros and will be released on July 29. The RBK752 with one satellite will follow on August 5 for 500 euros.

Netgears Orbi AX4200 Mesh System is a cheaper variant of the Orbi AX6000, which has been available since last year. Netgear presented the AX4200 sets in the United States at the beginning of this month. The mesh router has an 802.11ax radio with Wi-Fi 6 support, and a maximum bandwidth of 600Mbit/s on 2.4GHz and 1200Mbit/s on 5GHz. The AX6000 sets achieve higher maximum speeds.

The Orbi router has a gigabit WAN port and three gigabit Ethernet connections. There are also two Ethernet connections on the satellite. Both the router and the satellite are equipped with a soc with four cores at 1.4GHz. The router contains 1GB of RAM and 512MB of flash memory.

The RKB753 variant of the Orbi AX4200 series will appear in stores first. That is a combination of router and two satellites. This set costs 700 euros and is on sale from July 29. The RKB752 version with router and one satellite will also be available from August 5, for a suggested retail price of 500 euros. Netgear’s AX6200 system, released last year, is currently in the Pricewatch for around 1,100 and 790 euros in similar configurations.
