Netflix will add video previews to mobile app in April april
Netflix will also make video previews available for the mobile app in April. A Netflix executive announced this on Wednesday at a press event in California. It seems that there are no auto-starting previews like on Netflix’s TV app.
there is quite what dissatisfaction with the video previews on the Netflix app on TVs, because the previews start automatically if the selection box hangs on a thumbnail of a series or video for a short time. This seems to be different with the mobile app, where the previews are integrated into the home screen as a separate category, in the form of round thumbnails. Users can touch it to see the preview. Due to the round shape, they contrast with the square thumbnails of series and videos.
Played video previews are displayed vertically across the entire screen, with the option of swiping at the top of the screen to view some other previews. This makes the function similar to Stories from Snap and Instagram. According to Variety, Netflix executive Todd Yellin has said 75 different 30-second previews will be available initially, but should grow to many hundreds over time.
