Netflix success The Bodyguard gets a second season
After the mega-success of the first Bodyguard mini-series, it was only a matter of time before a second season would be confirmed, but it is already a bit faster than expected. However, it was not confirmed by Netflix, but by actor Richard Madden. This confirmed against The Independent that showrunner Jed Mercurio talks about a sequel.
“It was never the intention to make another series, so I do not know, I’m curious what Mercurio has, because David (Budd, Madden’s character) has had a few busy months.” What will happen to Budd is not clear yet. “He actually needs a vacation, but a bodyguard on the beach with a Pina Colada, nobody wants to watch that,” said Madden.
