Netflix starts a free trial version that can be used without an account

Netflix has put a Watch Free page online, where users can watch a number of films and the first episode of series for free via the browser. Registration or registration is not necessary. Netflix says it will always adjust the offer on the page.

The offer on the Watch Free page can be viewed via browsers on Windows, Mac and Android. The page is not available on iOS devices, nor will it work if users are using a browser in incognito mode. The service will then give an error message when playing videos.

At the time of writing, Netflix offers the first episode of its own series such as Stranger Things, Elite, When They See Us and Our Planet on the page. There are also a number of full movies on the page, currently The Two Popes, Bird Box and Murder Mystery. In all cases it concerns Netflix Originals.

Netflix says the offerings on the Watch Free page will change “ from time to time. ” How often this happens is not known. Previously, Netflix already offered a one-week free trial, but it was only accessible by creating an account and specifying a payment method.
