Netflix shows trailer for CGI series Resident Evil that will be released on July 8
Netflix shows an extended trailer for Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. The streaming service also announces that the computer-animated series can be viewed from 8 July. The series takes place several years after the events of Resident Evil 4.
In the more than two minutes long trailer, main character Leon S. Kennedy is extensively discussed. Various zombies and monsters are also visible. The story of Infinite Darkness takes place several years after Resident Evil 4, when a new zombie outbreak is about to begin.
Hiroyuki Kobayashi, who works at Capcom and directed Resident Evil 4 and 6, is involved as a director on the series. Netflix announced Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness last year, but then only showed a short teaser trailer.
In addition to the animated series, Netflix is also working on a Resident Evil series with actors. It will consist of eight one-hour episodes, but it is not yet known when it will appear.
