Netflix shows the first teaser of The Witcher series

Netflix has released the first teaser of the upcoming series of The Witcher. Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill, but also Yennefer and Ciri are reviewed. The story in the series seems to take place at the time of The Witcher 3.

In the teaser, Ciri seems to be still discovering her true potential, which is a process that takes place during The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Speaking of that game, the Wild Hunt, that game’s bad guys, don’t make an appearance in the two minute long teaser. However, it was already known that the series doesn’t follow the games so much as the books.

However, several samples are reviewed. Witchers hunt monsters for money. Remarkably, however, Geralt only has one sword on his back, while in the games he has a silver sword against monsters and one of steel against humans.

The game series of the same name was developed by Polish CD Projekt Red, which released three games in the franchise, in 2007, 2011, and 2015, in addition to multiple spin-offs. The games have always been highly regarded for their graphics, story and gameplay, among other things. They are based on stories by a Polish writer, first published in the 1980s. The series will be released later this year.
