Netflix is working with Ubisoft on Assassin’s Creed series
Netflix says it is working with Ubisoft on an Assassin’s Creed series. It is a live action series with actors. Details about the series are not yet known. It is also not yet clear when the series will be released.
Netflix shows on Twitter a ten second teaser. It only shows a combined logo of Assassin’s Creed and Netflix. Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik from Ubisoft are involved in the production as directors. Altman is responsible for the Film and Television division at Ubisoft. Krenik is Director of Television Development there. Both parties do not yet provide substantive details about the Netflix series. An Assassin’s Creed movie was released in 2016, starring Michael Fassbender.
Ubisoft has several projects running for series and films around its games. Several of them are made in collaboration with Netflix. For example, a film from The Division is coming to the streaming service and an animation series around Splinter Cell is being worked on. The game publisher also collaborates with other production companies on films and series. For example, a Rabbids film was previously announced, as well as a TV series by pirate game Skull & Bones.
