Netflix is working on Resident Evil live-action series
Netflix is making a Resident Evil series, claims Hollywood news website Deadline. The series is said to be produced by Germany’s Constantin Film, the producer and publisher of the six Resident Evil live-action films.
Deadline claims that the series is exclusive to Netflix and that it will take place in the same storyline as the films. The Resident Evil movies follow a different story than the games and are more action oriented. The last part came out in 2016. It is not known whether the lead actress from the films, Mila Jovovich, will also appear in the series. According to Deadline, Netflix and Constantin Film are still looking for a director for the series. Netflix and Constantin Film have not yet responded to the message.
The rumor of a Resident Evil series coincides with the release of the Resident Evil 2 remake, which takes place today for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
