Nacon launches PlayStation 4 controller with Xbox One controller layout
Nacon comes with the Asymmetric Wireless Controller for the PlayStation 4 and PC. As with Xbox One controllers, the two analog sticks are not next to each other, but are placed asymmetrically. The controller will be released in the first quarter for 59.90 euros.
The new Nacon controller for the PlayStation is made under an official license from Sony. It is a wireless controller with a rechargeable battery. The controller comes with a USB receiver that is used to establish a Bluetooth connection. The wireless connection works up to a distance of seven meters and also enables audio and chat functions via the headset jack on the controller.
Just like the official PlayStation 4 controller, Nacon provides the Asymmetric Wireless Controller with a touchpad, vibration motors and a 3.5mm connection. However, the light bar, motion sensor and speaker are missing. The manufacturer does add a button on the back that allows users to display the battery level without interrupting the game. The controller also works on the PC.
The Nacon Asymmetric Wireless Controller isn’t the first PlayStation 4 controller with a layout reminiscent of Xbox One controllers. Hori, for example, has a comparable controller with the Onyx. Nacon already has the Revolution Pro 2 in its range, but it is much more expensive and not wireless.
