MyKronoz comes with smaller version of smartwatch with physical hands
Swiss watchmaker MyKronoz has made a smaller version of its hybrid smartwatch ZeTime. Like the larger version, the ZeTime Petite has a round screen with a hole in the middle. The watch has mechanical hands.
The Petite has a 1.05″ screen, instead of the 1.22″ of the original version, MyKronoz claims. The smaller version has the same screen resolution of 240×240 pixels. Due to the smaller screen, the case is 39mm in diagonal, instead of 44mm of the original. The strap is 18mm wide, instead of 22mm on the regular version. With 180mAh, the battery of the Petite has slightly less capacity than the 200mAh of the original.
There are no further differences in functionality between the two watches. The ZeTime runs a proprietary operating system and is compatible with Android and iOS. MyKronoz calls the ZeTime series a hybrid smartwatch, with both an LCD and mechanical hands. By using mechanical hands, users can always read the time, even when the screen is off.
The ZeTime and ZeTime Petite are now on sale. The manufacturer has received money for the development through crowdfunding campaigns. That happened via Kickstarter and Indiegogo. The Swiss watchmaker asks the same price of 199.90 euros for the regular version and the Petite.
