MyCom continues independently after being under the wings of Relevant Holdings for a few months. The organization comes into the hands of a former franchisee and a commercial manager of MyCom.

Entrepreneur Peter Groenewoud, who previously owned five MyCom branches, and former commercial manager at MyCom Marco Heestermans are taking over MyCom from Relevant Holdings. Groenewoud becomes CFO and Heestermans becomes director. The two promise to continue to meet existing warranty obligations.

MyCom has an annual turnover of approximately 40 million euros and approximately 70 employees. After the bankruptcy of the Bas Group in October last year, Relevant Holdings acquired MyCom together with Dixons and iCentre. At that relaunch, 19 of the 41 MyCom stores closed and 22 have been open since then, in addition to the webshop.

“The activities of a pur-sang computer specialist such as MyCom and a telecom retailer such as Relevant Holdings both deserve a sharp focus and that is best served by this”, is the reason for the privatization, according to Henk Kamsteeg, chairman of the supervisory board. of Relevant Holdings.
