MSI’s X670 and X670E motherboards appear at Italian online stores
Several Italian online stores have published product pages of MSI X670 and X670E motherboards. The stores have published prices and photos of an MSI MPG X670E Carbon WiFi and Pro X670-P WiFi. The official release is expected next month.
The motherboards were noticed by Twitter users momomo_us and harukaze5719. The MSI Pro X670-P WiFi is available at at least three different Italian stores, with prices from 374 to 426 euros including 22 percent VAT. The higher positioned X670E Carbon WiFi is for sale for between 562 and 640 euros. It is not known whether these are the final prices: it is also possible that these are still placeholders. There are also no cheaper B650 motherboards in the web stores.
MSIA previously presented its AM5 line-up for the next generation of Ryzen CPUs, including the Pro X670-P and the MPG X670E Carbon. The former gets one M.2 slot with PCIe 5.0 interface, three with PCIe 4.0, 2.5Gbit/s Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6E support. The MSI MPG X670E Carbon gets two M.2 slots with PCIe 5.0 interface and two M.2 slots with PCIe 4.0.
The motherboards use AMD’s new AM5 platform. With this, AMD is switching to LGA sockets, where the pins are processed on the motherboard instead of on the CPU. Competitor Intel has been using that layout for some time. The Ryzen 7000 processors are expected to be announced at the end of this month and will be released on September 15. The corresponding motherboards are expected at the same time.
