A German price comparison site lists prices for five MSI motherboards with AMD’s new X570 chipset. Prices range from 201 euros for the cheapest model to 780 euros for the most expensive. Perhaps prices are still falling; it concerns the mention of a few shops.

The prices of the motherboards are visible at the German price comparator Geizhals. It concerns mentions of three online stores from Austria. Two of them have exactly the same prices and at the third store some plates are slightly more expensive.

All five MSI motherboards are relatively high-end. The cheapest MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus model also has a luxurious finish with large heatsinks. The X470 variant of that motherboard is currently in the Pricewatch for about 120 euros. If the prices are correct, the X570 variant has an additional cost of more than 80 euros. The most expensive model is the X570 MEG Godlike; which stands for 780 euros at the Austrian online stores. MSI does not have an X470 counterpart of that board, but there is an Intel Z390 variant, which currently costs about 540 euros.

Because there are only prices from a few stores in Austria and because the motherboards are not yet in stock, it is possible that the prices will fall further. However, the X570 motherboards are known to be more expensive than the X470 variants. AMD has confirmed that too and it is the reason X470 motherboards remain in the range. The new Ryzen 3000 processors will also work on motherboards with 400-series chipsets, but to take advantage of pci-e 4.0, an X570 motherboard is required.

Last week, TechPowerUp published the alleged suggested retail prices of Asus’ X570 motherboards. That manufacturer’s cheapest model would be the Prime X570-P, with a suggested retail price of $160. A Prime X570-Pro model would cost $250, while the cheapest ROG board, the Strix X570-F Gaming, would retail for $300. The top model, the ROG Crosshair VIII Formula, is on the list for $700.

The Ryzen 3000 processors will be on sale from July 7, and motherboards will also be released by then. Manufacturers have previously announced their signs, but have not disclosed prices themselves. Manufacturers have indicated that the X570 motherboards will be more expensive than the X470 counterparts. This has to do with the pci-e 4.0 support and the consumption of the boards, which means that better cooling solutions have to be used. Most X570 motherboards have a fan for active cooling of the chipset.
