MSI together with EKWB makes water-cooled GTX 1080
MSI celebrates its 30th anniversary with the introduction of a water-cooled version of the GTX 1080. The 30th Anniversary version has a cooling system from EK Water Blocks. It is not known how many copies MSI will make and what the card costs.
The GPU has a base clock of 1721MHz and boost to 1860MHz. That is a small increase compared to the reference speeds of 1607MHz and 1733MHz. MSI does not report the speed of the gddr5x memory and it is probably not overclocked.
A full cover water block from the Slovenian manufacturer EKWB is mounted on the card. Furthermore, an EK Predator Liquid cooling system with radiator and fan is attached, which makes the whole into a closed and maintenance-free system. The cooling block must cool the gpu, the ram and the vrms.
A backplate is mounted on the back and RGB LEDs are present, which can illuminate the MSI and EKWB logos in a color of your choice. The GTX 1080 video card measures 277x167x54mm and the radiator measures 177x133x68mm.
