MSI shows laptops with Intel Lunar Lake and AMD Ryzen AI 300 processors
MSI has announced new AI+ models of its Prestige, Summit, Stealth and Creator laptops. The first two series are equipped with the new Lunar Lake processors from Intel, while the Stealth and Creator models get an AMD Ryzen AI 300 CPU.
The Prestige AI+ business laptops are available in sizes of 13, 14 and 16 inches, while the Summit with a folding screen is only available in 13 inches. Both have a Lunar Lake processor with built-in NPU, which Intel introduced on Tuesday during the Computex fair in Taiwan, although MSI does not reveal exactly which SoC is used. According to the manufacturer, this processor is more energy efficient than the Meteor Lake SoC of previous models, making it possible to make the laptops lighter and thinner than their predecessors.
The 13″ version of the Prestige weighs 990 grams according to MSI and is equipped with a 75Wh battery. According to the manufacturer, this means that the laptop can be used for a whole day on a single charge. The battery capacity of the other Prestige laptops and the Summit model is not mentioned. All new laptops in this series have a webcam with a higher resolution of 5 megapixels, according to MSI.
The Stealth and Creator-AI+ gaming laptops will have an AMD Ryzen AI 300 processor that was announced on Monday. They are also equipped with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 GPU and a battery with a capacity of 82Wh. These laptops are only available in a 16-inch size. MSI doesn't mention prices or precise release dates for its new laptops, but does say they will be available sometime in 2024.
