MSI releases curved 31.5″ monitor for gamers
MSI has announced a monitor with a screen diagonal of 31.5 inches, a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 165Hz. It is a curved monitor with which the company from Taiwan focuses on gamers.
The Optix AG32C has a 1800R curvature VA panel. The full-HD resolution results in a modest pixel density of 70ppi at the screen diagonal of 31.5 inches. According to the manufacturer, the thin screen edges make the Optix AG32C suitable for setups with multiple monitors. The refresh rate is 165Hz, while the Optix G24C and G27C announced last summer are 144Hz.
The response time of the AG32C is 1ms and there is support for AMD’s FreeSync, which should prevent image stuttering and screen tearing. According to MSI, the screen can show 110 percent of the sRGB and 85 percent of the NTSC color space and the maximum brightness is 250cd/m². The manufacturer has provided the monitor with HDMI 2.0, DVI and DisplayPort 1.2.
The recommended retail price of the monitor is not yet known.
