MSI launches ultrawide monitor with 1000R curvature

MSI will show four monitors during CES. The company is coming with two ultrawide screens for gamers and two 32″ monitors in the Creator series. It is still unknown what the screens will cost. Release dates are also not yet mentioned.

MSI announces, among other things, the Optix Mag342cqr. This is an ultrawide monitor with a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels and a screen diagonal of 34″. The panel has a curvature of 1000R. This means that the curvature would form a radius of 1000mm when the curvature is calculated to a full circle. Together with the Samsung Odyssey, the Mag342cqr has the largest screen curvature of the moment.The screen has a refresh rate of 144Hz with support for adaptive sync from the VESA and a gray-to-gray response time of 4ms.

MSI also comes with the Meg381cqr, a 38″ ultrawide screen with a resolution of 3840×1600 pixels, which equals an aspect ratio of 21:9. This monitor has an IPS panel and a small second OLED screen that, among other things, displays information about can display games or other things, such as an ingame health bar or the weather.The primary screen has a refresh rate of 144Hz and HDR support with a brightness of 400cd/m², according to Tom’s Hardware.MSI already announced the monitor in December.

MSI is also announcing two monitors in the Creator series. These screens are intended for ‘creatives’ such as graphic artists. MSI it comes the Creator PS321UR and PS321QR, which have a resolution of 3840×2160 and 2560×1440 pixels respectively. The 1440p screen has a 165Hz refresh rate, while that of the 4k model is not mentioned. Both displays can display 95 percent of the dci-p3 color space and 99 percent of the Adobe RGB color gamut. In addition, both screens have a DisplayHDR 600 certification.
