MSI introduces GT76 Titan with Core i9-9900K and RTX 2080
MSI has added the GT76 Titan and GE65 Raider to its range of gaming laptops. The manufacturer supplies the laptops with the latest generation Core i9 processors and the GT76 comes with the RTX 2080 from Nvidia.
The GT76 Titan is the larger of the two with its 17.3″ screen and gets the most powerful hardware. MSI supplies these models with the Intel Core i9-9900K, a processor that is normally used for desktop systems. The video card is the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080, not the MaxQ variant for thin laptops, MSI also supplies variants of the GT76 with the RTX 2070.
To keep everything cool, a cooling system with four fans and eleven heat pipes is present. In 2019, RGB lighting should not be missing and the game laptop supports MSI’s Mystic Light lighting with underglow, or lighting at the bottom of the front and sides. There will be versions with 4k screens and with full-HD screens, and the latter is a panel with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The network card is the Killer DoubleShot Pro which can handle Ethernet speeds of up to 2.5Gbit/s and supports WiFi 6, or 802.11ax.
The GE65 Raider has a 15.6″ screen with 1080p resolution and a 240Hz panel. The most powerful variant of this laptop gets a Core i9-9880H and the manufacturer provides the model with an RTX 2070 or 2060. Furthermore, the Killer Ethernet E2600, which supports gigabit Ethernet speeds.The GE65 Raider is less powerful than the GT76 but also a lot smaller and lighter: it weighs 2.27 kilograms compared to 4.5 kilograms for the Titan.
