MSI introduces Clutch GM08 gaming mouse for 20 euros
Hardware manufacturer MSI released a new gaming mouse in the Clutch series this week. The GM08 has a sensor with a sensitivity of up to 4200 dpi and is equipped with red LEDs. The mouse is available immediately and has a suggested retail price of 20 euros.
The Clutch GM08 features a Pixart paw3519 sensor. This optical sensor has a maximum resolution of 4200 dpi and supports an acceleration of up to 10G. MSI mentions in the specifications a polling rate of 1000Hz, which means that the sensor transmits its position to the connected computer 1000 times per second. MSI and Pixart do not mention a lift-off distance for the sensor. The GM08 switches last 10 million clicks, according to MSI, but the company does not name a manufacturer.
The dpi can be adjusted via MSI’s own software. The mouse also has five DPI presets that can be selected with a button behind the scroll wheel. These presets go up to a maximum of 3200 dpi. If users want to use a higher dpi setting, this must be set in the software.
The mouse has a size of 128 by 68.5 millimeters and a height of 40.5 mm. The GM08 weighs 92 grams as standard, but MSI supplies three weights with which the weight can be increased to 103 grams. MSI claims the mouse is also suitable for left-handed users due to its symmetrical design. However, the GM08 only has side buttons on the left.
