MSI is releasing two low-profile variants of the AMD Radeon RX 460 graphics card. There is a choice of a model with 2 and one with 4 GB of ram. The video cards are equipped with two small fans and because of their size they fit in low housings for, for example, HTPCs.

As far as specifications are concerned, the two cards are the same, except for the memory size. The video cards have an HDMI and DVI-D connection and are 169mm long. No power plug is required for the video cards, which consume a maximum of 75W and can consume it via the PCIe slot.

The boost speed of the Polaris 11 GPU on the cards is 1200MHz, as prescribed by AMD’s reference speed. The chip has 896 stream processors and the video cards use gddr5 memory with a 128-bit memory bus.

MSI does not report whether a low-profile bracket is included. According to tweaker rable, this is the case with the low-profile GTX 1050 Ti version from MSI. This is probably also the case with the RX 460. It is not yet known when the low-profile cards will come on the market and what the recommended prices are.
