MSI Announces Summit Line of Business Laptops
MSI has announced a new business laptop series called Summit. At the same time, the company has unveiled a new logo. An EVO model appears in the Prestige line, which, as the name implies, is based on Intel’s Evo platform.
The new Summit series consists of four models: the Summit E15, E14, B15 and B14. The four models have 11th generation Intel processors, or the Tiger Lake U processors that Intel announced on Wednesday. The E models have a GeForce GTX 1650 Ti with Max-Q and there will also be a model with an UHD screen. The Summit B laptops have to make do with a full HD screen and integrated Intel Iris Xe GPU.
The laptops also contain business components such as a trusted platform module and an infrared camera for logging in via facial scans with Windows Hello is also available. MSI also mentions microphone noise cancellation, which would reduce background noise during online meetings. At the end of this year, MSI will expand the Summit line with the E13 Flip, which has a tilting 13 “screen.
The Prestige and Modern series together consist of a total of five laptops. Laptops with 14 “and 15” screens appear in both series and these models also feature an Intel Tiger Lake U processor. The most striking laptop is the Prestige EVO. That model may bear Intel’s Evo label as a sign that it has certain specifications, such as at least a Core i5 with Xe-GPU and a screen with at least Full HD resolution. The Prestige is 15.9mm thick and weighs 1.29 kilograms. The ssd is a pci-e 4.0 model and this laptop also has an infrared camera, but a rpm is not mentioned in the specification list.
At the same time, MSI revealed that it has designed a new logo, which is more angular and minimalist than its existing logo.
