MSI announces Modern 15 laptop with Comet Lake-U CPUs and MX250 GPU

MSI adds the Modern 15 laptop to its range. The 15.6 “laptop is 16 mm thick and weighs 1.6 kg. The manufacturer makes variants with GeForce MX250 video card, and versions without a discrete GPU.

The MSI Modern 15 complements the smaller Modern 14, which was announced in August. The new model is the same in terms of specifications, but has a larger screen and therefore also larger dimensions. MSI puts a 52Wh battery in the Modern 15 and the model with MX250 GPU has a 90W charger. The version with only the Intel igpu comes with a 60W charger.

MSI equips the Modern 15 with Comet Lake-U processors. Those are 15W laptop processors with up to six cores. There are two memory slots that can accommodate up to 64GB of DDR4-2666 memory. For storage there are two m2 slots. The 15.6″ screen has a full HD resolution and an IPS panel.

MSI has not yet announced which configurations there are and what they will cost. It is also not yet known when the Modern 15 will be released in the Benelux. The smaller Modern 14 versions have been in the Pricewatch since this week. A version with Core i7 quadcore and MX250 GPU costs about 1034 euros.
