MSI announces lineup of gaming laptops with Pascal GPUs
MSI has announced several gaming laptops equipped with GPUs from the Nvidia GTX 10 series. The top model will receive two GTX 1080s in a sli setup. MSI also comes with a 22 mm thin 14 “laptop that is equipped with a GTX 1060 GPU. Prices start at 1849 euros.
Coinciding with the introduction of the GTX 1080, 1070 and 1060 for laptops by Nvidia, MSI has announced a full lineup of laptops with the video cards. Just like Asus, MSI makes a laptop in which two GTX 1080 GPUs are placed in a SLI setup. This GT83VR Titan SLI contains an Intel Core i7-6920HQ processor, 64GB of ram, 512GB of m2 SSDs and a 1TB HDD. The screen has a diagonal of 18 “and a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The top model is in the Pricewatch for 5499 euros. MSI also comes with a 17.3” laptop with a single GTX 1080 GPU: the GT73VR Titan Pro. This model has a screen with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and costs 3799 euros.
The Nvidia GTX 1070 GPU finds its way to both 17.3″ models and 15.6″ laptops from MSI. With a price tag of 2399 euros, the GT72VR Dominator Pro is the cheapest model. This is a 17.3″ laptop with full HD resolution, Intel i7-6700HQ CPU, 16GB RAM, a 512GB SSD and 1TB HDD. The MSI GT62VR Dominator Pro with 15.6″ 4K screen, Intel Core i7-6820HK and 32GB ram costs 2799 euros. MSI also releases the GT73VR Titan SLI, which, as the name suggests, features two GTX 1070 GPUs.
There will be 14″, 15.6″ and 17.3″ models with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 GPU. The 14″ model is relatively thin and light: the MSI GS43VR Phantom Pro weighs 1.64 kilograms and has a height of 21.8mm. This is also the cheapest version with a price of 1849 euros. For that amount, buyers get a full-HD screen, Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, 32GB ram, a 256GB SSD and a 1TB HDD.
