MSI announced the Cubi at CeBIT, a mini PC equipped with a Broadwell U processor. The user can choose from three processor types. There is also an internal 128GB SSD in msata format.

The Cubi is available with an Intel Celeron 3205U, Pentium 3805U or Core i3-5005U processor. In addition, the choice can be made from 2 or 4 GB DDR3 RAM; the memory in the two so-dimm slots can be up to 8GB. An msata SSD with a storage capacity of 128GB is included with all configurations, and a bracket is included to place a 2.5″ hard disk or SSD.

The box has an HDMI and mini-displayport connection, both of which support UHD output. MSI has also found room for four USB 3.0 connections, as well as a gigabit Ethernet connection and a combined analog audio input/output. An 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 controller can be found internally.

The housing of the Cubi, which is available in white or black, measures 115x112x32.6mm. When adding a 2.5″ disk, the height becomes 42.7 mm: the bottom plate is attached to the HDD bracket, which increases the height. The weight is 485 grams. MSI optionally supplies Windows 8.1 or no operating system. Without an OS but with a Core i3-cpu, an SSD and 4GB of RAM, the Cubi in Germany costs 469 euros, Heise reports, while a version with a Pentium CPU, SSD and 2GB should yield 329 euros.
