Mozilla to release Send app for sending files

Mozilla is going to release Send, a separate app to send large files in a privacy-friendly way. It is still unknown when the app should be released. The function has already been tested.

Send should soon be released for Android, Mozilla reports in a blog post about the termination of the Test Pilot test program. In addition to Send, LockBox is also coming out for Android, a password manager with Firefox Accounts integration that already works on iOS.

It is still unknown when both apps will be released, but Mozilla hints that it will be soon. Testing program Test Pilot will stop next week, although the functions for testers will remain. How Mozilla plans to introduce experimental features to users after Test Pilot is discontinued is unknown. There’s a way to do that, Mozilla says.
