Mozilla supports two-stage authentication for Firefox accounts
Mozilla has started supporting two-stage authentication for Firefox accounts. Until now, users could only secure the account that the browser uses to synchronize data with a password.
Mozilla uses Time-based One-Time Password for two-stage authentication. That is why it works with various systems for generating codes, writes the browser builder . Users can use Google Authenticator, Duo and Authy to generate the codes.
Users also get codes to restore access to the account if they can no longer access their authentication application. Mozilla advises users to keep those codes in a safe place.
Firefox users can enable two-stage authentication in the settings of the browser. If no option appears under Account Management, it is possible to add “& showTwoStepAuthentication = true” to the url to have the option appear.
