Mozilla makes Firefox Relay generally available in browser

Mozilla has started releasing Firefox Relay to all users of the browser. They will be able to use the service that can hide email addresses from websites ‘in the coming weeks’.

The function can be used from today for the first Firefox account users. This should apply to all users within a few weeks. They can then call the function directly from the toolbar. That was previously added to the add-on. Users can also use Relay without that add-on within a few weeks.

Mozilla announced earlier this year that it wanted to integrate Relay more deeply into Firefox. Firefox Relay is a feature that allows users to provide an alternative email address for purposes such as user surveys or account creation, because they do not want to give away their real email address. Relay receives those emails and then shows them to the user.

Relay is free to use with up to five email addresses. Users who pay one euro per month not only receive an infinite number of emails, but also additional options such as automatically blocking promotional emails and answering messages anonymously.
