Mozilla adds Search Tabs shortcut to Firefox 66
Mozilla has added a Search Tabs button to the Nightly build of Firefox 66. If users have a lot of tabs open in the browser, that button can be found in a menu next to the tabs. Searching in tabs was already possible, but that was not clear to many users.
When users click Search Tabs, a percent sign followed by a space is placed in the address bar. By filling in a search query below, it is possible to search in the titles of tabs. This functionality is already in Firefox, but is not available as a button in a menu and probably many users are not aware of its existence.
Mozilla added the Search Tabs button in Firefox 66’s Nightly, which was noted by Techdows. The final version should be released sometime in early 2019. The current stable release is at version number 64, while the beta channel is running version 65.
