The American provider Verizon Wireless has for the first time shown prices of the MotoMods, the click-on accessories for the Motorola Moto Z smartphone. Especially the projector will become an expensive accessory for the phone.

The prices appeared in a Verizon app, one Reddit user noted. The prices are in dollars, but it is obvious that the euro prices are in the same line. Lenovo has not yet announced prices of the smartphones or the MotoMods.

The projector module Insta-Share should yield 299 dollars, currently converted without VAT about 265 euros. A wireless charging mod from Tumi costs $99.99, a Power Pack mod from the same brand is $89.99 and the JBL SoundBoost speakers will sell for $79.99.

Verizon will be aware of the prices, because the smartphones will be available first from that provider. That will happen ‘this summer’, although it is unknown when exactly. Verizon has a long history with Motorola-branded devices. In 2009, Motorola released the first Droid to Verizon, a smartphone that started the great success of Android in the United States.

The Moto Zs should be released in September in the Benelux. The Force variant distinguishes itself with a thicker housing, larger battery, different camera and reinforced screen.
