Moto G5 Plus photos and specs appear on Romanian supply and demand site
Someone has offered a device that would be the Moto G5 Plus on a supply-and-demand website in Romania. According to the provider, the smartphone runs on a Snapdragon 625 with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The screen is 5.5″ in size and has a 1080p resolution.
The original page has since been taken offline, but the photos and data can still be viewed in online archives. The Moto G5 Plus, which according to seller Gabriel has the type number XT1685, should be in stores in March this year. The device would run on Android 7.0 Nougat. The front clearly reads ‘Motorola confidential property, not for sale’. The seller asked converted 367 euros for the smartphone.
Furthermore, the Moto G5 Plus would have a fingerprint sensor on the front. There is also a 5-megapixel camera and on the back is a 13-megapixel camera. The battery has a capacity of 3080mAh and there is a somewhat striking micro-USB connection at the bottom. For more expensive models, Lenovo uses USB-C with Moto phones, but the G5 Plus has micro USB.
The design clearly differs from other Moto phones, especially due to the round camera element on the back. It therefore seems that it is a real prototype of a Moto phone. The software mentions ‘dvt2’, something that may represent the second prototype of a ‘design verification test’.
