Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge Animated Movie Coming April 12
Warner Bros. Animation will release the animated movie Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge on April 12. In doing so, it partners with NeatherRealm Studios, the developer of the more recent Mortal Kombat games. The makers have also released a new trailer.
The new trailer shows that it revolves around a fighting tournament between the Outworld and Earthrealm. The title of the animated film refers to the devilish character Scorpion, which viewers will learn more about.
The trailer makes it clear that no brakes have been applied to the way the violence is shown. Characters curse, the blood flows freely and the well-known X-Ray Moves, which were introduced in Mortal Kombat from 2011, are also part of the animation film.
A number of voice actors who are known from the games participate in Scorpion’s Revenge. For example, Patrick Seitz is responsible for the voice of Scorpion; he also did the same with the game from 2011. Steve Blum is also back in the party; he lends his voice to Sub Zero. Jennifer Carpenter, known from the TV series Dexter, will also speak the lyrics of Sonya Blade and Joel McHale’s voice will be heard when Johnny Cage talks.
The digital versions of Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge will be available on April 12. Then on April 28, the physical editions will be released, including a DVD, a Blu-ray and UHD-Blu-ray version.
