Mophie presents power bank that can be charged wirelessly or with Lightning
Mophie has presented a power bank that users can charge with a wireless charger that supports Qi. The power bank also has input via Lightning, so that the power bank can be charged with the same cable as iPhones and iPads.
It is therefore possible to charge the power bank on a wireless charger, and wirelessly charge another device at the same time by placing the built-in Qi charger on top of the power bank, claims Mophie. In addition, the power bank has input and output via USB-C and can charge other devices with 18W. In total, two devices can be charged simultaneously with the power bank; one wired and one wireless. The Powerstation Wireless XL has a 10000mAh battery on board.
At 14.4×7.3cm, the device is less long than and about the same width as many smartphones, although it is thicker than many phones at 19mm. It weighs 280 grams. With its Lightning input and output, it seems to be mainly aimed at iOS users. The power bank will be released this week and costs 110 euros.
