Monster Hunter World DLC Iceborne coming to consoles on September 6 6
Capcom will release a major expansion for the console versions of Monster Hunter World on September 6. The Windows version will be released sometime in the winter. The expansion costs forty euros and according to the makers offers just as much content as the game itself.
During a livestream, Capcom revealed all kinds of details about Iceborne. The DLC is set in a new area and includes a new storyline, picking up where Monster Hunter World left off. Iceborne also includes new monsters and a higher level: Master Rank.
The expansion takes place in Hoarfrost Reach, an icy region covered in snow. Both the appearance and the gameplay are therefore different than in Monster Hunter World. The cold reduces the player’s stamina, making fighting the monsters more difficult. Players must have hot drinks to counteract that.
Capcom is releasing Iceborne as an expansion for the existing game, but there will also be a new version of Monster Hunter World that includes both the game itself and the expansion. The physical bundle will also be available for purchase from September 6. The separate expansion costs forty euros for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One; the price of the PC version has not yet been announced.
