Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak releases on June 30 for Nintendo Switch and PC. The paid expansion for Monster Hunter Rise was announced last December, but no specific release date was announced yet.

Capcom gave an online presentation about the expansion on Tuesday. In it, the developer shows, among other things, the new environments, characters and monsters that the dlc contains. In addition, Capcom reports that it will roll out a free update to Monster Hunter Rise on Tuesday that will make two new armors available. To play the DLC upon release, players must have reached rank 7 and have completed the Serpent Goddess of Thunder Hub quest.

Capcom also reports that an update of 13GB will be rolled out with the release of the expansion. Players will receive this update regardless of whether or not they purchased Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. The update adds item packs, the ability to change your avatar’s appearance, and changes to weapon stats, among other things. Installing the update is required to play Monster Hunter Rise online.

The standard version of the expansion for Switch and PC costs 40 euros. There is also a ‘deluxe’ version, which costs around 50 euros. The deluxe bundle includes different types of weapon and armor skins.
