Modmaker Releases Super Mario 64 Land Rom Hack With New Levels

A developer has released a new Super Mario 64 rom hack. Super Mario 64 Land is practically a completely new game based on the classic Nintendo game, including new levels and bosses. To play the mod, a Super Mario 64 ROM is required.

Super Mario 64 Land is a completely new game with 32 new levels containing 70 different areas and 8 new bosses. The mod also introduces ten new power-ups, including the catsuit from Super Mario 3D World. The romhack also has its own soundtrack with 75 different songs.

The rom hack was published by Kaze Emanuar, who already has dozens of other Mario 64 mods to his credit. For example, he is the creator of Super Mario 64: Last Impact. He also made Sand Kingdom from Mario Odyssey playable in Super Mario 64 earlier this year, and has worked on Super Mario 64 Online, a multiplayer version of the well-known 3D platformer from 1996. Mario 64 Online was taken off the air in 2017 after Nintendo bombarded the developer with a takedown notice and multiple copyright claims on YouTube.

Kaze Emanuar was initially supposed to release Super Mario 64 Land in December, but unexpectedly released the mod early this weekend. To play the mod, users will need a rom file of the original Super Mario 64 game. Players can then manually patch these with the mod file via a website. The resulting rom can then be played with a Nintendo 64 emulator.
