MMD introduces 24″ and 27″ Philips monitors with 5Mp webcam and USB-C
MMD will release two Philips monitors with a built-in 5-megapixel webcam in mid-June. The screens have an IPS panel and are equipped with a USB-C connection that can supply up to 65W to a laptop, for example.
The 27″ model has a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and the 24″ version has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Both screens have a 60Hz panel, a brightness of 300cd/m² and a stated contrast ratio of 1000:1.
A webcam is positioned on the top edge of the screen. It uses a 5-megapixel sensor and also has an infrared sensor. This makes the camera suitable for logging in with Windows Hello.
Both screens have built-in 5W speakers and an HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2 connection. The monitors also have a USB-C connection that can be used to display images from a laptop. At the same time, the connected laptop can be charged with 65W.
MMD brings it 27″ model out for a suggested retail price of 439 euros and the 24″ variant costs 319 euros. There is also one on the manufacturer’s website 34″ model with a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels. Its price is not yet known.
