Minecraft will get two new biomes in early June with the Wild Update
Mojang Studios will release the Minecraft Wild Update on June 7 for both the Bedrock and Java Editions of the game. Update 1.19 introduces new blocks and two new biomes for the Overworld among other things.
The first new biome that Update 1.19 Adding to Minecraft is the Mangrove Swamp. This swampy area is full of mangrove trees. In this area is also a new block, mud. Players can also create this block by merging dirt and water. The biome is also home to the frog, the first mob to have a baby version other than an adult version. The animal starts out as a tadpole.
In addition, the upcoming update will introduce the Deep Dark biome, which is the deepest environment yet in Minecraft. The highly anticipated biome was originally supposed to be added with the split Cliffs & Caves update. The Deep Dark environment is located below the ancient deepest point of the Overworld, coordinate y=0; recently the bedrock stones have been moved to the y-coordinate -64. Here players can encounter the already added Warden, a monster that is blind and is attracted to sounds. The Warden guards special areas where players can find chests of loot.
Finally, the Wild Update introduces a boat with a storage chest and a new flying mob, the Allay. This creature can carry one pile of blocks or items for the player and can be instructed to search for and retrieve a specific object.
