Microtransactions are expected to come to Battlefield V on January 18, 2019
EA and DICE will probably introduce microtransactions in Battlefield V on January 18, according to a listing on Amazon of the so-called BCoins. The in-game money, which must be purchased with real money, allows players to purchase cosmetic modifications.
A reddit user commented that Amazon offered a digital code for Battlefield V: Battlefield Currency. The product is no longer available in the online store, but the listing stated that the item will be released on January 18, 2019.
The code for 6000 BCoins costs $50. The prices are probably the same as the Crystals from Star Wars: Battlefront II. That would mean that BCoins are also for sale in numbers of 500, 1050 and 2000, for $5, $10 and $20 respectively.
Battlefield V came out in November and has no microtransactions so far. EA has previously indicated that it will later be possible to buy so-called Battlefield Currency with real money. The in-game money can be used for cosmetic customizations; previously, the publisher promised that players will not be able to gain gameplay benefits from it.
