The March Update for Xbox consoles also fixes most Xbox Wireless Controller connectivity issues. That says an employee of the Xbox team on Twitter. The update also adds toggles for FPS boost and Auto HDR on games that are backwards compatible.

Earlier this week, Microsoft released an update to its Xbox consoles that allows users of Series S and X consoles to toggle FPS boost and Auto HDR on games that are backward compatible. Additionally, with this update, achievements are returned to the Xbox App, the subscription management screen on the console has been refreshed, and support has been added for the new Xbox Wireless Headset.

According to Jason Ronald, a member of the Xbox team, this March update should also “fix most of the issues with the many controllers having connectivity issues.” Ronald writes that on Twitter. In mid-November, the first complaints from users with an Xbox Wireless Controller that randomly lost connection to the Xbox Series X console or a PC appeared. That led to a busy post on the Microsoft forum in which many users reported similar problems.

Earlier this year, Microsoft told The Verge that the company was diligently looking for a solution to fix the Xbox Wireless Controller’s connectivity issues. Pending that fix, the company referred to a help page to update the controller’s firmware.
